An evidence-based group programme that strengthens parent-child interactions, reduces harsh discipline and builds children's social, emotional and academic competence. Uses video modelling, role play and group discussion to help parents of young children with conduct difficulties.
NVR (Non-Violent Resistance)
Specialist services
A therapeutic approach that helps parents respond to a child's destructive, aggressive or harmful behaviour without escalation. Draws on principles of non-violent protest to help parents reclaim authority through presence, persistence and support networks rather than coercion.

A six-session group programme for parents and carers of children and young people with an autism diagnosis. Covers understanding autism, communication, sensory differences, behaviour and emotional wellbeing, helping families build practical strategies at home and school.
EarlyBird
National Autistic Society
A licensed three-month programme for parents and carers of pre-school autistic children, combining group training sessions with individual home visits. Helps parents understand autism, develop communication and interaction skills, and manage behaviour using visual supports and structured strategies.
EarlyBird Plus

An extension of the EarlyBird programme for parents and carers of children aged 4-8 who have received an autism diagnosis. Combines group sessions with school or nursery visits to build a consistent approach between home and education settings.

STOP (Systemic Therapy for Overcoming Problems)
CAMHS
A systemic family therapy approach used within CAMHS that works with the young person and their family together to identify patterns of interaction that maintain difficulties. Helps families develop new ways of communicating and problem-solving to overcome emotional and behavioural challenges.
Solihull Approach

An integrated model combining psychoanalytic, child development and learning theory to help parents understand their child's behaviour through the concepts of containment, reciprocity and behaviour management. Available as a free online course or through facilitated group sessions delivered by trained practitioners.
Teen Triple P

Helping Your Anxious Child

A structured group programme for parents of children experiencing anxiety, based on cognitive behavioural principles. Teaches parents to understand the anxiety cycle, support their child in gradually facing fears, and build the child's confidence and coping strategies.
1-2-3 Magic

A structured approach to child discipline that divides parenting into three steps: controlling obnoxious behaviour, encouraging positive behaviour and strengthening the parent-child relationship. Uses a counting method and calm, consistent responses rather than lengthy explanations or emotional reactions.
