What are common challenges with the map maker?

Feeling overwhelmed by big tasks Not knowing where to start Forgetting important steps

What can I try to help with the map maker?

When a task feels overwhelmingly big, write it at the top of a page and then list every tiny step needed to complete it. Keep breaking steps down until each one feels doable in 10 minutes or less. Use the "work backwards" method: start with the finished result and ask "What needs to happen just before this?" Then "What needs to happen before THAT?" Keep going until you reach something you can do right now. Ask a trusted person to help you plan by talking through the steps out loud. Hearing yourself say the plan helps your brain organise it, and the other person can spot steps you might miss. For recurring tasks (packing your bag, getting ready for school), create a written checklist and laminate it or pin it up. Follow the same checklist every time so you do not have to re-plan from scratch each day.
