What are common challenges with brains that notice sounds more?

Getting distracted by sounds Finding noisy places uncomfortable Needing quiet to concentrate

What can I try to help with brains that notice sounds more?

Invest in good quality earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones and keep them in your bag at all times. Loop earplugs reduce volume without blocking speech, which is useful in classrooms and social situations. Map out quiet spaces in your regular environments: the library corner at school, a specific room at home, a quiet cafe. Know where to go BEFORE you need to escape. If you cannot leave a noisy environment, try focusing on ONE sound deliberately (like the teacher's voice or a piece of music) — this gives your brain a filter target instead of trying to process everything equally.
