What are common challenges with brains that rush?

Making mistakes from rushing Finishing quickly but missing things Finding it hard to slow down

What can I try to help with brains that rush?

Build a "before I submit" checklist for important work: 1) Read it through once slowly 2) Check for anything you skipped 3) Ask "Did I answer what was actually asked?" This takes 2 minutes and catches most rush errors. Use the "draft fast, review slow" method: give yourself permission to race through the first version of anything (homework, emails, projects). Then take a 5-minute break and come back to review at half speed. For important messages, emails, or texts, use the "write-wait-review" rule: write it, wait 60 seconds (do something else), then read it once before sending. This prevents the "I wish I hadn't sent that" feeling.
